Rex is a Renegade-class weapon created out of desperation in Dalmasca during the Garlean Civil War. It was developed from the base of the Decurion, Poten pyr Daru. The purpose of the Renegade was to safeguard the Castrum; unfortunately, as Garlemald fell, it never fulfilled its purpose and it escaped containment.
